We are looking for an HSE Executive to be assigned to a large-scale industrial investment Project and Operation, responsible for the end-to-end management of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities, ensuring full compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and international standards. The role will oversee the implementation of HSE systems, risk assessments, safety procedures, and site inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and enforce company HSE policies, procedures, and annual HSE programs.
  • Monitor related OHS legislation and integrate regulatory changes into company processes.
  • Lead risk assessments for production units, including high-temperature furnaces, activation processes, carbon handling systems, and chemical regeneration areas.
  • Manage risk controls, gas systems, confined spaces, hot work, and chemical reaction hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with process safety.
  • Establish work permit systems (hot work, confined space entry, working at height, line breaking, etc.).
  • Ensure periodic inspections, OHS measurements, exposure assessments and health surveillance activities.
  • Conduct or coordinate root cause analysis.
  • Track and verify corrective and preventive action implementation.
  • Prepare and update emergency response plans (fire, explosion, gas release, chemical spill, furnace malfunction, etc.).
  • Organize emergency drills and ensure emergency equipment readiness.
  • Coordinate with the fire brigade, emergency teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Identify HSE training needs; prepare and execute the annual training plan.
  • Ensure competency development in process safety, safe equipment operation, and behavior-based safety.
  • Promote a strong HSE culture and employee engagement across the plant.
  • Take full responsibility for all HSE matters on the project site, ensuring compliance with site rules, work permits, and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields.
  • Class A Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in HSE/OHS roles, preferably in industrial projects and chemical/thermal processing plants.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Process safety experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OHS legislation.
  • Risk analysis methods.
  • Emergency management & incident.
  • B2 level of English (written and spoken).
